McDonalds was feeling it when I submitted holiday greeting card designs.
The back story
Not long after I graduated college, in the early 1990’s, I was working as a Graphic Designer/Writer for a Greeting Card company.
The challenge
I was asked to design cards that would be submitted to McDonalds for a national holiday promotion. The selected designs would be printed and sent to the entire McDonalds mailing database.
My work
I created a series of hand-drawn card illustrations depicting an array of traditional holiday scenes with a McDonalds theme.
The Results
The winning cards that were selected were all designs that I had submitted!
My boss was thrilled, and I was promoted to Art Director 🙂
